Megan Betty, Owner
Born and raised in Minnesota, I moved to Colorado to attend Western State College, graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology in 1996. In 1998 I moved back to Minneapolis to attend graduate school and work for local company. In 2003 I earned a Master’s in International Management and Marketing. After working for the same company for nearly 10 years I decided to leave to pursue my passion….DOGS!
Although I do not own my own pet, I am very close with my sister, Sophie (a Wheaton Terrier). I feel extremely blessed to be able to spend my days in my favorite neighborhood with dogs! My daughter London and I live in The North Loop.
Regina
Regina has led a charmed life all while in the company of animals. She would not have it any other way. She is currently fostering a spunky Australian Shepherd.
While sharing her love with her own German Shepherd Black Lab mix, a Chihuahua who looks like a German Shepherd, a classy black cat and cockatiel that has been around longer than see has. She is one to devour art, music, and literature. In the hopes of becoming a faithful student of the Minneapolis College of Art and Design, she is working on her portfolio for Illustration and Comic Art.
Haley
I was born and raised in MN and currently live in South Minneapolis. I graduated from Argosy University in 2007 with an A.A.S in Veterinary Technology. I became a Certified Veterinary Technician in 2007 and have been working in a small animal hospital for the past 3½ years. I will soon be attending MSB to obtain my B.S in Veterinary Technology. I have loved animals since I was a young child so my current career is perfect for me. I cannot imagine doing anything else. My fiancé and I currently share our home with 4 loveable and fun animals. We have one dog, a black lab and 3 kitties. It makes for a busy household but I would have it no other way! I feel truly lucky to be surrounded by animals in my career and personal life.
Ashle
I grew up in the suburbs along a river and had pets ranging from cats and dogs to baby bunnies and birds that wandered into our care at different points. Animals have always been a part of my life and I can’t imagine it any other way.
When I’m not walking dogs or updating the Bark Avenue blog, I work as a freelance writer in Minneapolis and Edina. I am grateful to be pursuing my passion for writing and my love for animals. I live in Minneapolis with my husband and our cat Bijou, who is fascinated by running water and gives hugs when she’s tired.
Alex
I love dogs but unfortunately do not have the space for one at home. Walking dogs lets me feel like the fun uncle who gets to come over and play with the pups! I also own a photography business; the world of photography was opened for me at the age of ten when my father and I built a pinhole camera from an old television box and some black linen. It has been a long time since then, but the experience has kept me rightly grounded in the simplicity and beauty that only a camera can create. Visit alexjohnsonphoto.com
Doug
I was born and raised in Minnesota and grew up with a cat named Buttons. Buttons is a friendly cat that enjoyed hunting rodents and birds in her younger years. She loves Chili above all other foods. My mom wasn’t too keen on having a dog in the house, but I’ve always enjoyed playing with dogs at the homes of my friends and relatives. I moved to Minneapolis in 2010 after graduating from St. John University with degrees in English and in Spanish. I intern for a politician and do a bit of freelance writing. I have also worked as an editor, but getting out of a cubicle and spending some time with animals seemed like an opportunity that was too great to pass up.
